The Relationship between Reading Comprehension and Writing Skills of Fourth Grade Students and Their Motivation to Read and Write

Motivation is well-known to have a crucial influence in the growth and acquisition of language skills, including reading comprehension writing. From this point view, goal study was find out how 4th graders' comprehension, writing motivation read write are connected. Conducted according correlational research design, consisted total 581 students, 297 boys 284 girls, studying at grade public primary schools located central districts Kars, Konya, Zonguldak provinces. Data collection tools included “Reading Comprehension Test”, “Motivation Read Profile”, Write “Story Text Assessment Analytic Rubric”. analysis results indicated that skills female male students were close each other with statistical significance favour considering scores story write. A major positive correlation found between its sub-factors write, as well Furthermore, be considerable predictor skill, while skill. At conclusion study, number recommendations made for future researchers teachers.
